Five Things You Wouldn’t Expect to See at the Airshow

July 12, 2010

So you’ve bought your Airshow tickets and you’re ready to go see some amazing aerobatic stunts, have your breath taken away by the F-22 Raptor demonstration, be amazed by the aircraft on the ground, eat a few hot dogs and enjoy the day outside.  But wait!  There’s way more to the California Capital Airshow then just jets and hot dogs, much more in fact.  Here’s five things you wouldn’t expect to see:

1.  40 foot tall, car eating monster

2.  A 10,000 horsepower jet car approaching speeds of 400 mph racing an airplane! Who do you think will win?

3.  Chicks flying fighter jets

4.  Craft center designed specifically for the young aviator

5.  Super star, critically-acclaimed giant walking jelly bean, Mr. Jelly Belly – he’ll be on-site signing autographs!

So, did anything from this list surprise you?  Tell us what you think of the unexpected sights at this year’s Airshow.
