California Capital Airshow Scholarship

The California Capital Airshow Scholarship promotes interest in aviation and aerospace careers in the Sacramento region. The scholarship has been created to encourage young people to pursue careers in aviation, aeronautics, or aerospace related fields.

Priorities in awarding scholarships will include:

• Desire and intention to pursue a professional career in the areas of aviation management, aeronautics, aerospace engineering, aeronautical mechanics an electronics, or other related fields
• Interest in and progress toward related educational goals
• Potential for academic excellence
• Prior experience in related fields.

Individuals eligible to apply include high school seniors and college students or returning students who have at least two years of academic college level work yet to complete. The scholarship committee awarded16 in 2007, ranging from $500.00 to $2,000.00 each.

The scholarship program is administered through the Los Rios Community College District, Sacramento City College on behalf of the California Capital Airshow Foundation. Scholarships are awarded to students attending an accredited college or university program in the United States.
